I'm considering a few angles for an LA-centered novel – but LA has been done so well by Fante, Bukowski, and West, not to mention noir, I fear it would be playing in the Pee Wee league for me if I tried.
Based on everything you've shared with us, I think you'd do great. To be honest, LA seems to me a city actually over represented in celluloid and under represented on paper! There's space for more, especially if you come in with your own particular take and view. I'd read it. :-)
Sorry, somehow I missed your reply until today. Thanks for the encouragement. I'll be in LA soon – revisiting the old haunts – so maybe a stray spark will ignite an idea for something in long form.
This is so good, J.K. I kinda wish this was a chapter from a novel? I'd like to learn more about them.
You've just made a gnarly day sparkle, Ollie ;)

Dig this.
Moody.
Your three words made me very happy.
Sweet.
That is interesting that he did leave the door unlocked. What a convenient guy, even in death. Excellent story, JK.
Thank you, Parker. Kind words from an accomplished crime writer mean a lot.
You’re very welcome and that avatar/thumbnail is pure gold.
Oh man, this was good. (And I especially loved the neighborhood)
Ten-Four, Deirdre. With much appreciation.
